Meet Lisa Humayun.
A lifelong love of horses, a background in veterinary nursing studies and a career caring for others brought Lisa to Cryo Rhythm Equine.
Originally from the Philadelphia area, Lisa now calls South Florida home. Whether she’s at the barn, supporting her daughter in Wellington or planning a cryotherapy visit, horses and family are at the heart of her days.
A life spent caring
Lisa became a licensed cosmetologist in 11th grade and worked in salons through college, styling hair for fellow students and staff while also working in veterinary hospitals. She studied veterinary nursing and completed rotations at the University of Pennsylvania’s veterinary school and New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
Encouraged by a veterinary dentist at Penn, she trained as a registered dental hygienist. She practiced in Devon, Pennsylvania, then moved to Florida for warmer weather and continued until her first child was born.
Horses are family
A pleasure rider since age six, Lisa has always had horses in her life. When her daughter was four, the family welcomed their first horse, Romeo. Over the years, they have owned six horses.
Today, her daughter competes in the hunters in Wellington, and Lisa is usually ringside with her one or two weekends a month. That connection to everyday barn life shapes her approach to working with owners, riders and their horses.
How cryotherapy began
Lisa and her husband opened Heart Rhythm Solutions in 2015, with Lisa managing the practice. She still works behind the scenes, while in-office manager Daniela gives her room to pursue new projects.
One began with an America Cryo SubZero device she bought for her own horses and family. Her experience inspired her to share cryotherapy with others—from office patients and competing horses and riders to retired horses whose comfort matters just as much. She is also exploring wellness events at gyms and pop-up Pilates sessions.
